Our mission at LIBERNETIX is clear: to transform money management by facilitating the free movement of money, secure storage, and long-lasting value. This time, we have an opening in the IT department.

The job is simple. We believe that reliable infrastructure, top-notch tools, technical expertise, and security can significantly help the business grow. Your job will be to understand our business, identify what technical opportunities we can leverage, and implement them. You’ll need to work on internal infrastructure and systems supporting external clients. The people you will be working with will be both experienced IT engineers and high-performance business people with less technical expertise.

Key results:

• You talk to people, learn about our business, and have ideas on how you can help.
• You present your ideas, describe how they can help our business, offer solutions, and work to implement them with the people involved.
• Business people get your support to fix issues, new tools they need, and training to make the best use of them.
• Software engineers get your help with setting up and maintaining more complex infrastructure (see our tech stack below).
• The processes within the IT department and their customers, e.g. access management, hardware/software provisioning, and backup measures are running smoothly and reliably
• Security controls related to IT in fracture and processes are implemented and vetted
• All printers are working without any glitches. Here’s what happens when they don’t.
• Key processes are automated using IaC or scripts.
• You bring new experience to our organization and teach your colleagues.

Our current tech stack:

• Macs. Jamf for MDM.
• Google workspace.
• AWS is our primary cloud (we’re mostly using EC2, ECS, RDS, and CloudWatch), but we also have physical servers and VMs on other providers.
• Virtualization with Proxmox and Kasm; heavy use of Docker.
• IaC with Terraform and Ansible.
• Nginx, traefik application servers, MySQL, and MariaDB database servers.
• Many open-source applications such as Apache Superset and Airflow.
• Many custom-developed applications built with TypeScript.
• OpenAI, co-pilot, and other experimental AI tools. Who doesn’t have that these days?

This is not set in stone, and things change frequently. You’ll be expected to learn new things.

Location and language:

• We prefer for you to be in Riga, Latvia, or at least be able to travel to Riga regularly.
• We’re a mixed team of Russian and English-speaking people, so you should know both.
